Olivia Katz is a photographer, writer and documentary filmmaker. Rooted in a deep reverence and respect for the natural world, Olivia’s work focuses on the intersection of society, climate, and environment, whilst highlighting opportunities for restoration and collective transformation. Olivia possesses an interdisciplinary background that has spanned studies of trauma, ecology, environment, climate and social justice. After documenting the devastating Black Summer Bushfires, Olivia founded The Heart Atlas—an independent platform dedicated to stories focused on humanitarian, social and environmental issues. The Heart Atlas has delivered stories on the bushfires, climate change, biodiversity loss, and the catastrophic floods in the Northern Rivers.
